With twenty-five years’ experience teaching private flute lessons, 
Jane Shelly’s goal is to help her students, who range in age from 7 to 70, to reach their personal goals. Her students have variously become music majors in college, won positions in the Connecticut regional and all-state bands, won positions in local youth orchestras, improved the level of playing in their own school band or have simply increased their own enjoyment in playing. At the college level, Jane has been on the adjunct faculty for UNLV, Clark County (NV) Community College and, most recently, University of Bridgeport (CT).

Master classes – Jane gives clinics and master classes at the middle, high school and college levels, having done so at many schools in Fairfield County (CT), Warner Pacific College (OR), Fresno Pacific College and University of Bridgeport (CT
Pizazz Master Teacher – Flute Instructor: These teaching artists are drawn from all over the United States and they serve the community in which they live. Each artist develops their own series of programs to educate, enhance and excite people of all ages about the power of classical music. Chamber music – As flute coach for Chamber Music Central summer festivals and the Norwalk Youth Symphony Chamber programs, Jane has over a decade of experience helping young people explore the joys and difficulties of making music in small chamber settings.
